NARCOS SEASON 2 ON NETFLIX SEPTEMBER 2
10 PLATA O PLOMO LOOKS X 10 NARCOS CHARACTERS
This is the part where we get you to buy sh*t, by hooking you up with cool reads!
Let's cut to the chase, we can't wait for Season 2 of Narcos. The Plata O Plomo Crew is stoked, even if we all know how it ends. (Gary's so excited he's been eating Bandeja Paisa, for like, 2 weeks.)
POP Fans know that Señor Escobar's threat, Plata O Plomo, were the words that helped shape our brand. So, to celebrate Season 2, we thought it would be fun to mashup some of our bestselling Plata O Plomo Los Angeles "Esco-Inspired" designs with some of our favorite Narcos characters... May We Present...
NARCOS X PLATA O PLOMO LA
It's only fitting that the Patron himself, the man whose words, "Plata O Plomo" were the starting point for our brand would be the BIG Chicken himself! Pssst... want in on a secret? Why the Chicken? Why the Brick? Well... that HUGE brick phone of his was usually tapped by law enforcement, which forced Narcos like Esco to speak in code.
1 Chicken = 1 Kilo | The Brick Part, We'll Let You Figure That Out
DEA Agent Steve Murphy, Escobar's hunter, fits the mold of the classic Old Skool movie cop... if his beat was Medellín. Tormented, duty-bound, but willing to break the rules to get his man.
VALERIA VÉLEZ | CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Stephanie Sigman is amazing as Valeria Veléz, the Colombian journalist, based on the real life Virginia Vallejo. Choose Your Path, is truly the shirt for Valeria, who knew early on that her star would rise alongside Pablo's if she got the story... she kinda got a lot more than the story on THAT path...
Connie Murphy is the Back Of The Bullet, personified... even though she comes off soft and sensitive, which she is, she is tough as nails. We LOVE Connie/Joanna.
We were bummed when Pablo's cousin and right hand man Gustavo bit it in Season 1. One of our favorite Narcos moments was the badass look on his face when Gaviria cocks his automatic, as Pablo wraps up his Plata O Plomo speech. CHECK IT HERE
AGENT JAVIER PEÑA | PASSPORT
Peña, Murphy's partner, is a crazy son of a bitch and Pedro Pascal plays him perfectly. He's not above getting some official papers made for informants who do right by him. That's how he rolls.. a little for me a little for you. By the way, Our Passport Crew, Made In Los Angeles, by immigrants and the sons and daughters of immigrants the perfect choice to stick it to Trump... cause... Fuck Trump
Carlos Lehder was legend. The man who moved large product, in small planes just like the one our AEROLÍNEAS PLATA shirt, and yes, it's 100% true that the flights into Norman's Cay were typically met by the type of welcoming party depicted on the show... those dirty, dirty dogs.
"Better a grave in Colombia than a cell in the United States." The more psycho half of the famed Ochoa Brothers, Fabio, played by the awesome Roberto Urbina, whose work we've been diggin' since he was Santiago on "HEROES." Fabio the just the kind of guy to creep you from behind with a straight razor... for what will be your last Classic Shave.
You know who is MAS PLOMO? Pablo's Mom. I can hear you saying "Really?" "Why?" I mean, we know the hair/makeup/costume people kind of made her look like Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie - but I'm half Spanish and I can tell you a lot of my mom's friends rocked that look in the eighties. So, why so PLOMO?
SHE STASHES PABLO'S CASH IN HER COUCH.

KANYE WEST - SAINT PABLO TOUR OPENING NIGHT REVIEW
OPENING NIGHT | KANYE WEST | 2016 SAINT PABLO TOUR
By: Ali Skolar
AUGUST 25th, 2016 | BANKER'S LIFE FIELDHOUSE, INDIANAPOLIS: With summer winding down, there’s nothing better to keep up the excitement than an awesome show... and the opening night of Kanye West's Saint Pablo Tour at the Fieldhouse in Indianapolis did not disappoint. I'm a major Yeezy fan, so no doubt I was stoked, but it was amazing how hyped the whole city has been for this show all week.
DOWNTOWN INDY 8PM: Yeezus followers as far as you could see. Everyone talking set lists, openers, and of course... merch! Finally, after the multiple security checkpoints, you enter the home court of the NBA Indiana Pacers and WNBA Fever, packed with excited fans bathed in the yellow/orange tinted glow of lights beaming down (the Ultralight Beam?) all eyes glued to the stage. So I'm standing there, staring too, waiting for the drinks to kick in, thinking about what this crazy guy is about to pull when he finally comes out.
SHOWTIME 10PM: Suddenly, the arena goes dark, Ye comes out floating on a 10 X 10 platform to "Father Stretch My Hands" and the crowd goes insane. The moving/floating stage allowed West to interact with his fans more intimately, even at one point lying flat on the platform, hands reaching out to his fans.
The set list for the first Saint Pablo show featured most of The Life Of Pablo album with a couple unexpected surprises. Ye managed to throw in many of his classic tracks like; “Jesus Walks,” “Amazing,” “All Falls Down,” “Flashing Lights,” boosting the crowd just like THE perfect throwback should.
Here's Indiana University's Union Board's Music Director, and Interscope Records College Rep, Katherine Jordan, on what she thought of the night:
“Kanye put on an amazing production for the first show of the Pablo Tour. He got the whole crowd going wild! - I can't wait for my next show."
KANYE'S STYLE: West entered the crowd wearing; an oversize jacket, with a very coarse look, over a sleeveless tank, could be his own line... who knows?, Mechanix Gloves, black leather pants with a red stripe down the side, and, most surprisingly, he wasn't wearing Yeezy's, but another style of Adidas featuring the Ultra Boost Sole.
KANYE'S BEING KANYE: In one of the stranger parts of the night... and we can always count on Yeezus for an unexpected surprise, or many, Kanye did what he does best and shared some of his more "personal" thoughts and feelings with the crowd. He apologized to Nike CEO Mark Parker saying, “I’d like to thank you Mark Parker of Nike. For giving a kid from Chicago a chance. I apologize like a man for anything I ever did to you or your family... Like to apologize like a man.”
Kanye then proceeded to give major props to his new partner, Adidas Entertainment Marketing Director Jon Wexler, saying, “Thanks Jon Wexler for putting your job on the line for me.” Well, all righty then...
KANYE MERCH: Me, I bought the orange Pablo long sleeve with the album cover on the back... XL (which is HUGE on me) - for $70. For the select few who were able to pick them up pre-show, there were various orange, black, and khaki tees, longsleeves, and sweatshirts with different TLOP lyrics on the back in that classic Old English/Gothic font. Prices ranged from $70 - $150 - and shit was mad selling.
THE PABLO VIBE: The audience was probably one of the best I have ever been a part of. Kanye fans are really devoted, and everyone came to listen and enjoy the party vibe of opening night. After he finished “Fade”, the entire arena went off on a chant of “Yeezy”, that even got him to smile for one brief moment.
Kanye delivered an amazing performance that kept the crowed hyped and on its feet, a lengthy set list (that was just right for the die-hard and new fan) and the sound and lights were killer.
